Hi, Well we don't get comp.sys.next.admin here at Liveware (why I don't know) but was told there where posts on it regarding the problem of a file or something causing mac HD disks not mounting. Here is my problem. During PR1 and PR2 the system would allow Mac disk formatting as well as mount Mac disks (HD) on my slab. But about 2 weeks into each of those installations it just stopped doing/allowing such actions with Mac HD disks. I just installed our last 3.0 gold system. It is a slab with floppy. I can't get it to mount a Mac Disk for the life of me. Can someone give me a hint at the direction i should go in to find the 'file' or whatever is blocking this built in ability of 3.0 to mount HD Mac Disks... ;') Thanks for any help. Todd,
in /usr/filesystems there should be a directory called mac.fs
Executor sometimes (usually) renames it to mac.fs.SAVE (or something
close to that) and put in another directory called macintosh.fs (or
something)... to get mac floppies to mount, just remove the macintosh.fs
dir and rename mac.fs.SAVE to mac.fs (you have to do this as su root)
this actually works, and I have not had any further problems mounting
Mac floppies after this.
