RightBrain Software Appoints new VP of Sales

Palo Alto, California - April 14, 1992.  RightBrain Software today  
announced the appointment of Jack Reynolds as the Vice President of  
Sales.   Mr. Reynolds will be responsible for the sale and  
distribution of RightBrain Software products as well as the complete  
Adobe font library for the NeXT computer.

Over the last dozen years, Mr. Reynolds has held senior level sales  
positions at Abaton, Acer, AST Research, Compaq, Everex, Tandon, and  
most recently HSD Microcomputer where he was responsible for the  
sales of  NeXT-related peripherals and software.

Glenn Reid, president of RightBrain Software, said:   As the ship  
date for PasteUp approaches, it becomes important that we solidify  
our relationships with the domestic and international reseller  
channels. Jack has a proven track record on the NeXT platform and  
we're very happy to have him as part of our team.  PasteUp,  
RightBrain Software's forthcoming page layout application for NeXT  
computers, is scheduled to ship June 30.

Mr. Reynolds claimed,  PasteUp is more powerful than Quark Express on  
the Macintosh and much faster. Its simple and intuitive user  
interface will enable people to direct more focus to the creative  
process and less to the mechanics of using the software. 

 PasteUp fills an important gap in the NeXT publishing environment,   
Reid continued.  The shipment of PasteUp at the end of June will  
coincide with the shipment of the NeXT color printer and several  
other critical third party products required for serious publishing.  
NeXT computers are perfect for publishing, and now we finally have  
flexible page layout, the Adobe Type Library, excellent drawing  
packages, and soon full-color image editing. 

 I am particularly excited about the possibilities afforded by NeXT's  
relationship with Canon,  added Reynolds.  PasteUp is a logical  
addition to a NeXT computer and a Canon Color Laser Copier.
