I've run into a VERY strange bug while using "vi" and UCB mail on the NeXT. Let's say I'm composing a message in UCB mail and now I type "~v" to get into "vi." Now I edit this message and type "ZZ" to exit. Now I'm back out in mail and I type "~p".... and the message is gone! The same thing happens if I originate the message text in "vi". I exit with "ZZ" and the text isn't there. And it REALLY isn't there because mail then complains with a null message body warning. And yes I get the same problem if I do a "~r" of an already existing file. UCB mail reports that it read x number of bytes and then I do a "~r" and the bytes simply aren't there. So this shows its not even a "vi" related problem, but one with NeXT's version of UCB mail (or something wierd at my site)! "df" reports that all my partitions have enough disk space so that isn't a problem. Anybody else have the same problem? - Hacker -- Dark Hacker hacker@black-silicon.mclean.va.us "I am the very instantiation of object oriented evil!"
