Hi all, I've seen this problem on the net before, but do not remember the solution and I have to help a friend out today (SAT DEC 19). He just got a brand new turbo cube dimension system. He booted it up and 3.0 was pre-installed. He then used the ND upgrade diskette and installed the packages on it. Afterwards he powered down his machine and tried to re power it up it would die. It gives the following error messeges when booting in the rom monitor: loginwindow 131 cannot find window server port Is there a quick fix, copying a couple of files to the right place from the 3.0 CD ROM? Or must I rebuild the whole HD? At any rate I would greatly appreciate any help on this. later, John -- NeXT Campus Consultant---Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey |my %^) John Kheit/monoChrome | Opinions expressed represent me only! |fried %-) 173 Westgate Drive | Audix Voice Mail# (415) 366-0900 X5512 |brain %>) Edison, NJ 08820-1163 | kheit@hangout.rutgers.edu,szatrows@gandalf.rutgers.edu
