My NeXT won't start

My roommate has a NeXTstation mono 20/210.

When we turn it on it gets through the system checks, it recognizes the RAM,
but then it dies with "Exception #3"

If we type bsd, then it dies with "Exception #2"

If we type bsd again, it dies with "Exception #2" again.

Any more bsd's keep getting Exception 2.

The same result when we try and boot off the floppy.

The Quantum 210 drive has (had?) 3.0 installed.

Any ideas?
