I'm pretty sure that if you set up the mounted : disk as an FSA drive withing soft-PC that it would work fine. : Hah! In a pigs eye. We are averaging about 1 disk in 3 as being readable. We're trying to read mostly NASA stuff but a lot of scientific data is now available on ISO 9660. Mind you, it took IBM 3 patches 2 OS version upgrades, and 18 months to get their CD rom reader to read ISO 9660 disks. (AIX) It's like russian roulette here. You get a new data disk, and try reading on the Next, because that disk can be exported easily. When that doesn't work, you try the RS6000, because at least it resembles unix. It THAT doesn't work we take it to a PC. That always works, but it's ethernet card and ftp program seems to max out at about 30 KB/sec I love standards. There's so much variety... -- => Sherwood Botsford sherwood@space.ualberta.ca <= => University of Alberta Lab Manager, Space Physics Group <= => tel:403 492-3713 fax: 403 492-4256 <=
