The CDROM is a good thing to have, as is a floppy. One can NEVER have too much memory, regardless of the OS/CPU. >Or... > >2: Upgrade to the new turbo 33MHz '40 board and get NS 2.2. The 33Mhz board lacks the OD connector and support chip. The only way around this is to save your 030 board and send it to Spherical Solutions and allow it to run as a slave CPU concurently with your Turbo board. This way you can run your OD from the 030 slave while running your 33Mhz board for other tasks. >The questions I have is "what do you think about these two setups?" and >"is there a better solution?" You'll want the CDROM and need a floppy drive anyway. 3.0 offers quite a few advantages over 2.x (Mac/Novell support and better faxing, etc). You can always purchase a cheap CDROM drive through a 3rd party (NEC comes to mind). >I'd prefer it if you could email your responses, but post if you feel you must. >If there is an outcry (yeah, right), I'll post the collected answers. > Sorry, I thought others in a similar predicament might benefit form this.
