NS486 Confusion

I am looking into a 486 system for home use that I will be able to
use NS486 on when it comes out. I thought that this would be a simple
purchase. Ugh! Now I remember why I abandoned PCs 3 years ago to
purchase a real NeXT! Trying to spec out a system now that I am
confident will run NS486 next year is a nightmare. First, it is
difficult to get a "fact sheet" that is factual about what is needed.
There are some incredible discussions going on in the intel and ibm
newgroups about NS486. That is the good news, they certainly are
aware of it and are interested!. The big discussion right now is the
Cyrix 486SLC chip versus "real" 486SX & 486DX chips. There is also
confusion about video cards and bus requirements.

If anyone in NeXT_Land can provide a clear statement about hardware
requirements for NS486, it would be a huge contribution.
