We had a chance to see a demo of the TextToSpeech kit at a recent user group  
meeting. Craig was kind enough to drive from Calgary to Edmonton to show it off (180  
miles). It was very impressive! While some people were turned off by the fact that  
it doesn't sounds *completely* human, the mere fact that it was able to turn written  
text into recognizable speech was awe-inspiring.

I can understand why there is no demo of the kit. It's BIG. Too big to attempt to  
place on an FTP site, anyway.

Thanks for coming to see us, Craig. Perhaps we can return the favour someday soon...
