Following our department's upgrade from NeXT 2.1 to 3.0, several users started noticing the following strange behavior with FrameMaker (version 3.0.1). Occasionally, in the document window of an open document, the background of a page turns black. Using redisplay (control-L) does not clear the problem, but paging forward and back does. The person who runs into this problem the most says she leaves FrameMaker documents open overnight, and it is documents that are left idle that are subject to this problem. At the same time there are console messages such as: DPS client library error: PostScript program error, DPSContext 1f8258 Dec 22 09:14:17 ninja FrameMaker[175]: %%[ Error: nocurrentpoint; OffendingCommand: xshow ]%% Anybody have any idea about what is going on? The machines in question are NetBoot clients, so the filesystems are used via NFS. -- Michael Thornton thornton@vineland.pubs.stratus.com Stratus Computer, Inc.
