I was expressing my personal opinion that, from a programmer's perspective, 3.0 offers so much more in terms of functionality than 2.x that if you want to do serious hacking, you need 3.0. I seem to be one of the few people that hasn't been bitten badly by bugs in the current release of 3.0 - it's been quite stable for the sorts of things I want to do. I'm also doing things that just weren't possible under 2.x (writing a lot of IB palettes which take advantage of all the public IB protocols, 3D Kit stuff, etc.). Hope that clears up any confusion I might have generated. -- --> Michael B. Johnson --> MIT Media Lab -- Computer Graphics & Animation Group --> (617) 253-0663 -- wave@media-lab.media.mit.edu
