Good morning folks,

Last night my wife (The Unix/C Programming Goddess) was fooling around with
her raytracing programs and the Utah toolkit.  However, when it became time
to view the RLE file under RLEViewer she found that it wasn't recognized 
by NS3.0.  When one looks at it in the FileViewer, it doesn't show up
under it's old app.icon; and when trying to inspect a RLE file with the
Tools Inspector, ImageViewer and Edit are the only choices.  ImageViewer
works fine, but she's been kind of partial to RLEViewer.  (Don't ask me
why, I'm just the Physician who Mungs Unix Well, so I never challenge
her authority on this one).

So, has anybody heard of a version of RLEViewer that will run under 3.0?

I was finally able to get the old thing up and running briefly long enough
to get in contact with Vince DeMarco who came through in a pinch.  Seems that
there were some changes made that screwed up the old version.  This is from
the change log in the new source code that Vince sent me.

	* Version 2.3.1 made IT work again under 3.0 the problem was in
	the displayImage method of Image.m, the bitsPerRow value passed
	to the NXBitMapImageRep should be 0 not xsize*8. Seems like NeXT
	broke this in 3.0 as it used to work under 2.X.

The new version works quite nicely, but I'm not sure what Vince plans to
do with the patch as of yet.  He can be contacted at vince@whatnxt.cuc.ab.ca
