I need to generate reports from data in an Oracle database, either using PRO*C or the DBkit or both. I have form letters that I need to poke information into. The current implementation on another system works fine with standard mailmerge commands. What's a good way to do this? Hook up a text object to scan for <<labels>> and insert data? Perl? OraPerl? Commercial or public objects? WriteNow? I figured I could simply message WriteNow from my application and have it do the merge and return the results, but their tech support says I can't do that. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike Bray mrb@earth.wustl.edu
