I am a computer science student and a very happy NeXT owner.
I will be taking one or more AI courses coming up which require
the use of Common Lisp. Can someone please explain to me what
the history of the versions of Lisp are briefly, and secondly
what AKCL is, what its history is, and what recommends it, besides
the price. Is AKCL Common Lisp? i assume that CL means that, but
how well will AKCL work for theoretical toying of the sort that
computer science classes do, rather than real software development?
Any assistance info etc. will be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks,
Greg Sengle
