Note that 'some', in practice, means 'large character set fonts'
(such as Kanji fonts). Roman fonts are generally not protected in
this way.
On my NeXTStation running 3.0PR2, the following:
/Times-Roman 12 selectfont
0 0 moveto
(Hello) true charpath
[ { {/m} {/l} {/c} {/cl} pathforall } stopped pop ]
== flush
produces:
[0.227997 0.0 /m 3.564 0.0 /l 3.564 0.228027 /l 2.62801 0.287964
..
(The array will be empty if the font is protected, or if this is
run on a Level 1 printer.)
