how to change a Samples waveform ?

I'm using a OscgafiUG generator and an Orchestra object to synthesize
sounds. The generator waveform table is set from a Samples object,
itself set from a Sound object. I'd like to be able to change the shape
of that waveform several times. The trouble is that only the first call to
setTable: seems to affect the table. Subsequent calls always produce the
same sound, regardless of the shape of the data used.

The docs for OscgafiUG seem to imply that waveform tables are shared
within the Orchestra, so subsequent calls might not affect a table
once it is created. I tried to work round this by sending
setTable: (id) nil to the OscgafiUG object, or by saying
[Orchestra dealloc [theOrchestra sharedObjectFor: theSamples]].
No luck.

Does anyone know how this is done (I'm running 2.1)? Pointers to
code would be welcome.
