Much to my chagrin it seems apparent that I have to write
a device driver for a synchronous modem.

As this is the closest thing to hell that I can think of,
I am currently praying that some brave soul out there
has written one already.

Key words are: Synchronous Transmission, SDLC Broadcast
Operating Mode.

Any comments would be appreciated.
