Want to know which undocumented class names are reserved by the
AppKit, but whose names don't begin with NX?

Curious how Edit and gdb communicate?

Wonder why NeXTSTEP source code from 2.x recompiled under 3.0
results in bigger and slower executables, even though you haven't
changed anything?

Have you been bugging me for the past couple months for a version
of class-dump that works under 3.0 (you know who you are)?

Wait no more! class-dump 1.2 is now available for anonymous FTP
from sutro.sfsu.edu [130.212.15.230] as pub/class-dump1.2.tar.Z

Besides working under 3.0 (for which the executable got 50%
bigger, sigh), this version also lets you dump selected classes
matching a regular expression, so you no longer need to wade
through pages and pages of output when you're looking for
something specific.

Disclaimer: existence of a 3.0-compatible version in no way
constitutes an endorsement of NeXTSTEP 3.0. If you don't NEED
3.0's features, you're probably better off waiting for 3.1
(or whatever). I know I am!

The distribution file contains a README file, executables
compiled under 2.1 and 3.0, and a manual page. This is
copyrighted freeware: there is no charge for use, and it may be
freely copied and redistributed according to the terms specified
in the README. (Basically, there's no problem as long as you
don't try to make bucks off it. CD-ROM anthologists will
generally need to contact me for permission. Internet sites
generally will not. Pay-per-download sites generally will.)
