trying to build emacs 18.58 off the Big Green CD (thanks, Skylee Press) under 3.0. after applying the patches from Charles Swiger (thanks) on sonata, (which he said _ought_ to work under 3.0 with no problem).. well, almost. i found i need to change config.h to #include "s-mach.h" and #include "m-NeXT.h" from the defaults- not surprising, but not clear in the README then, because header files got moved, in unexNeXT.c, change includes to #include <mach/mach.h> and #include <mach-o/loader.h> then everything gets by cc, but at the load step, i get ld: can't locate file for -lcs (this is from xmakefile setting libraries with ld -lcs -lg -lgcc -lsys_s and this came from mNeXT.h setting LIBS_MACHINE to -lcs /* needed for putenv */ man ld tells me ld wants to find a library in /lib or /usr/lib or /usr/local/lib named libcs.a, right? i can't find such a beast. is there one, or was there in 2.1? ------------------------------------------------------------------ |Glenn Holm Internet:karuzis@wccf.mit.edu| |M.I.T Dept. of Brain + Cog.
