I've received many replies concerning my question about a non-copyable TextField. Thanks. However, most of the replies suggested making the field non-selectable. The problem with this approach is that I'm trying to use a field that is EDITABLE, but non-copyable, for entry of a password. When a TextField is set to non-selectable, its also set to non-editable and this field needs to be editable. When editable is checked in IB, selectable is also checked (and grayed out, unchangable). NeXT's own password fields (in UserManager and the login screen) behave like this so I know its possible. I've received a few pointers in this direction (thanks Lans and Paul), but does anyone know of a relatively straightforward, painless way to accomplish this? Thanks, Bob Beauchemin bobb@agora.rain.com
