I was wondering if anyone had written an application which takes one physical modem and makes it into a larger number of virtual modems for unix->unix connections. (for instance, so I could dial into my local unix workstation at 9600 baud and run some program there, then run some program locally which would create /dev/vmodem0, /dev/vmodem1 and /dev/vmodem2, both of which would have a connection and could potentially be used by more than one window and/or user) Yes, I know about 'screen'. Also, due to routing difficulties SLIP is improbable for me at this time. -- Sean T. Lamont | "Don't oppress me, It's zeno@cac.washington.edu | 'computer of color!'
