We are about to try some small nifty user interface to some remote process that is running on another computer that we dial up to by means of kermit. We thought of using the Subprocess class. However, each time we get to the login prompt, the whole session hangs. (At the moment we try to figure out the workings of the Subprocess class by running kermit manually from within the example provided with the source to the Subprocess class.) Now, I know this sounds vague, has anyone ever had similar problems? And more importantly, how did you solve these? Any suggestions what might be the cause of all that? Also, if that's of any help, kermit complains with the following lines when we start it up from within the MyShell.app (but I'm not sure that is cause of the problem): $ kermit Error opening /dev/tty congm: No such device or address /Users/rcfa/.kermit C-Kermit 5A(184) BETA-6, 12 Oct 92, NeXT (NeXTstep 3.0) Type ? or HELP for help C-Kermit> Any help is greatly appreciated, Ronald ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
