appWillTerminate: -- I don't get it!

My app's delegate doesn't receive the appWillTerminate: method when WorkSpace
terminates the app upon user logout. This is a drag because my app cannot, in
that case, save its default settings. The app does receive the method in other
situations such as when the user quits the app.

Anybody have a clue why? Is there another method I should be using?

Thanks,

When the user logs out or power down the machine, the message sent to the
Application delegate is: app:powerOffIn:andSave:.

Note that when you are handling this method (ie. giving the user the
option to save his work), you probably shouldn't give them the Cancel
option in any panels you display (like you would if they were just
quitting the application).

NeXT violates this in some of their own applications, such as Edit. For a
good time, start Edit, create a new document, type something in the
document (don't save it), log out, and hit the cancel button in the panel
that Edit gives you.
