Is it possible to set up the workspace (with dwrite or something) so it gets HideOnAutoLaunch, and double click on the NeXT-icon to open it when needed. peer@ccrma.stanford.edu

I complained at the NWE about this, and I recently sent e-mail to NeXT about it. It really bugs the hell out of me that you can't hide the File View on startup. Under 3.0 having the Workspace(File Viewer and more?) completely launch on logging in is optional, but that's not the solution that I want. This problem ranks right up there with not having a NeXTstep equivalent to X11's DISPLAY environment variable. -Mike
