Thanks to burchard@geom.umn.edu for helping me solve my previous problem: I was getting "Unlocking Focus on wrong View" errors when updating Views from a completion routine set by SNDStartRecording(). It seems that the completion routine is executing in another thread from that of the main loop, and that that was the source of the problem. My present problem has to do with communicating from the completion routine to the event loop. I tried posting an application-defined event from the completion routine, and catching it in an applicationDefined: method in the application's delegate. The application-defined event is delivered all right, but only when other events appear (mouse, etc.). Until that happens, it stays queued. I also tried overriding the sendEvent: message in Application, with the same result: no events appear until I click somewhere. The call to DSPPostEvent() specifies that the event should go before all others (second parameter == 1). What am I doing wrong? Alain de Cheveigne, alain@linguist.jussieu.fr
