I would like to add a preferences panel to my application that would keep track  
of a couple of things (a default data directory, a couple of booleans, etc.).   
What I would like is some suggestions on how to save this data.  I'd rather not  
creat a "." file if possible.  Any fancy NeXT tricks for handling this?

Please email.  Will post what I decide to do if anyone is interested.
