I have two somewhat related questions:
On my NS3.0 system Icon.app (the elder) seems to crash while looking for
"NXColorSlider"; ie. from the console:
Nov 4 18:25:34 bluff Icon[164]: objc: class `NXColorSlider' not linked into
application
Nov 4 18:25:34 bluff Icon[164]: Unknown View class NXColorSlider in Interface
Builder file,
Nov 4 18:25:34 bluff Icon[164]: objc: View: does not recognize selector
-setTitle:
So what is a "NXColorSlider", where is it documented (I couldnt find it in the
old 2.0 docs anywhere) and why cant Icon find it on a 3.0 system?

My second question relates to 4bit tiff images brought over from a MAC and
imported into every drawing/display program that I have (Create, Draw,
Imageviewer, AppsoftDraw). The original MAC images scale fine in all these
programs. I opened a MAC tiff in Icon and then saved it as another 4bit tiff -
with no changes. Now when I import the Iconed tiff and try to scale it it will
not scale correctly - I get checkerboard patterns across the image depending on
the scale of the image (the image at full scale looks fine).

I THINK this is due to Icon saving the tiff in a DITHERED 4bit greyscale rather
than the original MAC tiff which was undithered (?)...but I am not sure if this
even makes sense... Is there a way to get Icon to save these 4bit images
un-dithered?

This would be nowhere near as annoying if the MAC images did not work
perfectly...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks
