I am unable to use Gator+ to acquire Backspace.tar off of Sonata. The best I can figure out is that the path is being read as 2.0/sourceBackspace.tar instead of /2.0/source/Backspace.tar. I do not know whose problem this belong to.... Gator or Sonata. Does anyone know any other location where I can obtain a copy of this program? Thanks in advance. Bill

Some time back, NeXT got complaints about Sam Streeper having done Backspace and made it free. Bunch of bullshit about level playing field type of stuff. Pretty bogus all around. If you have to have a level playing field in order to sell your product, then I wouldn't consider it to be all that good. Sorta like the auto industry bitching about level playing field. If they made better cars, then we'd buy them. Anyways, all copies at archives were supposed to be frozen or removed so folks couldn't get them. Then NeXT decided that they'd leave it out there, but that Sam couldn't update it or make any changes. I heard that it'll be included in 3.0 developer examples, after all it's pretty good one for dynamic loading of .o files. I wish I knew were to get a copy because I'd really like to study it and see how it works. -k
