Matrix behaviour in IB

Hi,

Problem: I'm writing a custom Matrix class, which contains multiple cell
classes. I am putting this custom Matrix class in a palette. I
initialize my Matrix with one row (each column containing different cell
classes). So far so good. Now I really would want to be able to
alternate-drag new rows in IB. So off I go to try to find what methods IB
sends a Matrix when alternate-dragging...mystery. I would have thought
that somewhere it would end up using makeCellAt:: or renew, but nope it
doesn't. What it does is to actually creating new *empty* rows and
columns. This I can understand, as my Matrix class doesn't have a single
prototype or cell class to copy, but what I don't understand is: what
method does IB use to add empty rows to the matrix ? I have tried under
gdb to trap all possible methods which alter the row (and column number)
of a Matrix, but none of them seem to be called. The only thing which
seems to get called is sizeTo::. Is there some undocumented method that
the Matrix IBEditor uses to do this ?

-Thanks,	Kjartan
