My application creates a Sybase table (using dblibrary calls) to hold some intermediate results that a DBModule then reads and displays in a DBTableView. The problem is that I need to make the application multi-user, and each user will be needing to create their own such table, which means to distinguish them in the Sybase database I'll need to insert the user name or the spid or whatever into the table name. But this means that I can't know the table name in advance, and therefore can't have it in my Model or hook up my Module to it. To set this up on the fly with a variable entity name looks like a nightmare. Any ideas on how to do this, or better yet, to get around it? Colin Garrett colin@delphi.bsd.uchicago.edu

Why not just create another key field in your table which is the name of the user, and add a DBQualifier to your fetches to only get for the records for the relevant user? -William Shipley The Omni Group
