I'm am tring to create some custom palettes in with 3.0 IB and ProjectManager. I have a few questions. 1> How does one get subclasses of objects (that are not views) to appear in paletteView. I can get views to subclass (just as easily as always) and have them custom draw themselves, but then they are not really buttons or buttoncells or whatever it is i want to create. 2> Presuming that i get a custom object to appear on my palette, how do customize the insector for that object? I know there are simple solutions to these questions and but there is no documentation on IBPalette in the beta release of 3.0. Could someone with some knowledge please point me in the right direction? I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You. If I understand your question correctly, I think what you want to do is to create something that will represent your custom object in the Palette Menu. What I usually do is just drag a button (and customize it with an image/words) that remind me of the object into Palette View. And then link that image to the custom object by implementing the associateObject: as specified in the documentation. You should take a look at the InterfaceBuilder.rtf file in /NextLibrary/Documentation/NextDev/ReleaseNotes and also the CustomPalette documentation in the DevTools directory. =Howard Pan= Internet: pan@athena.mit.edu 410 Memorial Dr. Cambridge MA 02139
