Questions/Problems with Example Program Draw.

I need to write a floorplan program, and being somewhat of a NeXT newbie
I thought the easiest way to begin would be to modify an existing program.
The example program Draw offers a useful GraphicView Class that would do
a great deal of what I need. The documentation even includes instructions
on building a GraphicView palatte. Unfortunately it is not working.
I tried making both a GraphicView palatte that could be dynamically
loaded into the original Interface Builder, and a new version of the
Interface Builder with GraphicView included. In both cases I had the
same problem -- I could build an application that included a GraphicView
object
(with menus for Select & Rectangle) and it would work while I tested it
inside IB. But if I compiled it with make (or make debug) (& included
all the previously defined .o files from making the GraphicView palatte)
and ran it (outside IB), it would fail with the error message:
DPS client library error: PostScript program error, DPSContext b8128
%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: setup ]%%
Now I know I have all the .o files -- hell, I even tried it with all the
source files, adding them into the project...
So, would anyone out there have any idea why this might be working
inside IB and not outside?
Thanks, and my apologies if this is a newbie question....
-David.

P.S> There is also another error message:
>> objc: class `Select' not linked into application
But it does not seem to interfere with anything, and Draw also
generates this message to stderr, so it does not seem significant. But,
if you have any ideas I would love to hear them.....
