First, our news feed here is slow (we are two days behind the times here), so
apologies for wasting bandwidth if this has already been posted.

While I would certainly agree it would be best for the dwrites to be
documented, they are not unknowable. You can use DefaultMgr (available for
free at sonata (thanks and kudos to Drew Davidson) ) to investigate the
defaults available for the loginwindow program (or for any other program for
that matter). But keep in mind the following caveat taken from the help file
for DefaultMgr. "A caution is necessary at this point: Some programs that are
interesting to investigate can also have bad consequences, such as loginwindow
and Workspace. They make assumptions about the state of the system that can
wreak havoc on running programs and the Window Server." Personally, I have had
no problems, but your mileage may vary.

Anyway, to get the dwrites for loginwindow

1) Launch DefaultMgr as root
2) Under the Set submenu choose investigate, a standard open panel will appear
   and then select /usr/lib/NextStep/loginwindow.app/loginwindow
3) wait about 2 minutes and voila all the available dwrites will appear.

If I'm not mistaken there is also a enhanced, commercial version of DefaultMgr,
but the freeware version has suited me fine so far.
