In article <ANDERSON.92Oct9142501@sapir.cog.jhu.edu> anderson@sapir.cog.jhu.edu (Stephen Anderson) writes: > Sounds like this is where Dan Gittleman and the Neuron folks went when > they disappeared....same line of work, same performance. > > --Steve Anderson Mr. Anderson, While it *may* be valid to draw comparisons to producers such as MicroSoft and IBM, or even Supra, with missed release estimates, the *Neuron* comparison is patently unfair. We posted an announcement of intent to release some months ago, with a special pre-release offer. This was carefully labelled PRE-RELEASE. Unlike many others in the industry, we have not, and will not cash ANY orders prior to actual shipment. We object strenuously to any *LIBELOUS* comparisons to Neuron. We are in NO WAY connected to Dan Gittleman, nor anyone in the infamous Neuron organization, and STRONGLY resent any *LIBELOUS* statements indicating that we are. The only thing we know about Mr.Gittleman is that he has made our business a lot harder. We will not refused ANY cancellations. What we WILL do, is continue, and ship as soon as we are satisfied with the quality of the product, and believe that our customers also will be satisfied. As far as comparing our performance and business practices to Neuron, we believe that if Neuron had taken no ones money, and held on to the product until they were sure that it was right, as we have, they wouldn't be infamous today. The short of it is this -- NO ONE'S MONEY HAS BEEN TAKEN. NO ONE's CREDIT CARD HAS BEEN BILLED. NO ONE's CHECK HAS BEEN CASHED. It is hard to develop quality software for the NeXT and make a profit. We are not going to get rich off this driver, but hope to make a profit. If you are going to spout out statements on the Net that could potentially hurt a developer, you should DAMN WELL GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT and not spout out untrue statements as you obviously have. -- Bruce Gingery Total System Software tss@TotSysSoft.com or bruce@TotSysSoft.com -- Bruce Gingery Total System Software tss@TotSysSoft.com or
