I have been pasting epsf files into drawings created from TeX via dvips
-E.
Sometimes these labels are not meant for just viewing on screen, but also
for printing. This means that there should not be a showpage in the EPSF
file. When viewing on screen, the showpage has no visible effect, but
when printing the showpage causes a page to be printed. In the EPSF file
the eop is defined as
/eop{SI restore showpage userdict /eop-hook known{eop-hook}if}N
when it comes time in the eps file to do the drawing it does
-1 bop 2546 1002 a Fb(s)2607 1022 y Fa(i)p eop
which sends the showpage to the printer! For every label I added to the
drawing it prints a separate page.
Does anybody know how to fix this via the .pro or options file? I would
rather not have to remove it via a filter.
