Nope, this is a TalkBack bug which occurs on certain network setups.   
We're making the fix, and will put a new version of the program on the  
archives ASAP.

If you run the "hostname" command in a Terminal window and it returns  
anything other than just the machinename (ie. if it returns a fully  
qualified hostname), TalkBack 1.0 won't work for you.  Version 1.01 fixes  
this.
