I've just replaced the emacs-18.59 package on cs.orst.edu with a new version. I guess I'll get it right eventually: I had omitted to include the info directory, which is now part of the package. This is the first time I've built an installer package, so I hope it works. By the way, I used the Packager App by Toby Paterson which I found on the NeXT educational CD-ROM - it certainly makes it straightforward to build a package. I've been trying since yesterday morning to post this to sonata.cc.purdue.edu, but the machine won't accept more than about 66K of the file. Looks like other people are having the same problem (there were several files of exactly that same size in the submissions directory yesterday): perhaps the disk is full. After installing, you should check that the directory /usr/local/lib/emacs/lock is writable by everyone, and perhaps remove the lockfile for my .newsrc which got into the pcakage by mistake..... --Steve Anderson
