Mma does not complete the calculation, but doesn't give error messages either. If you run "math" in a terminal window, Mma is more frank about what it does not like, so I always test Mma first in a terminal window. In this terminal window, it may cpomplain about Mma not being installed completely. When I called WRI, they adviced me to install it (2.0.4.5) again, possibly at some time when the network is less busy. When this is fixed, Mma-Frontend might still not work. then REMOVE the ~/Library/Mathematica folder in your Home directory. This is where the Mma frontend stores all the customizations you did (Windowsize, remote kernels, ...), but these defaults may no longer be compatible with the new version of Mma or the new path where Mma is installed. Don't try to edit these defaults, just remove them. Next time you start up the frontend, the missing folder will be replaced by a functional default copy. Christian Kurrer
