In Preferences, set your system and application fonts to "Helvetica Medium 12  
point" and your Bold system font to "Helvetica Bold 12 point" and Diagram!  
should work okay.  Simply put, using any other fonts than what 2.x used for any  
of the functions settable in Preferences 3.0 will make Diagram! crash.  The  
folks who made Diagram! addressed this publicly on the net a while back and  
they do realize it's a problem.
