Has anyone else gotten this on the NeXT? (I'm pretty sure Mark Adler said he did a while ago?) It compiles without errors on NS 3.0, but it does some odd things. One, the lock file in /usr/spool/uucp/LCK doesn't always get deleted. Next time kermit's run it says 'removing stale lock file' but do all apps (i.e. UUCP) do this? Two, what's wrong with this script: set line /dev/cufa set baud 38400 out ats0=1 [newline] in 3 OK quit (the syntax may be off, I'm doing this from memory, but the commands are basically right) All I want it to do is turn autoanswer on automatically. It worked with an older version of kermit (182? 180?) and NeXTstep 2.1, but with the current setup (the older kermit does not work in 3.0 either) it just hangs at the 'quit' statement. The ats0=1 went in there, because if I go into kermit and hit return, the autoanswer status comes up. Any clues? ------ Mike Matthews, matthews@oberon.umd.edu (NeXTmail accepted) ------ Yesterday I was a dog. Today I'm a dog. Tomorrow I'll probably still be a dog. Sigh! There's so little hope for advancement. -- Snoopy
