If the latest Nisus has all the features of MS Word 5.1/Mac and the  
ability to load in MS Word/Mac (any version) files, then I'd recommend  
Nisus in a moment too.  But since so many people buy computers based on  
what software is available for them, and people convert to Macs just to  
run MS Word, then the availability of an appropriately priced and  
functionally-equivalent (equivalent to the Mac version) MS Word/NeXT  
might not be a bad thing for NeXT sales.

Until then, TeX is nice and powerful, but there are so many people who  
want GUI word processors, someone could make a good chunk of money  
catering to our needs.  There's so much potential with NeXTSTEP, it  
should be great when someone uses all of it.

One last opinion about pricing: $800 for any piece of software is more  
than 4X too much.  When I think about how much work NeXT has already  
put into NeXTSTEP that is available so easily (and work that NeXTSTEP  
consumers have already paid for), as well as considering that I got an  
entire piece of hardware and an operating system for less than that, I  
think it's just silly to price any single piece of software that high.   
But as long as people are willing to shell out that kind of money, I  
can only blame the consumers for doing so (and essentially telling the  
software publishers that that is a good price for what they're  
selling).
