There is a (commandline) program under the GNU license called recode-3.2.4 that
allows you to recode between various (ascii) encodings. It should be on most
ftp-servers. I wrote a small patch to also allow recoding of NeXTSTEP
encoding. I put it on our anonymous ftp-server (ftp.cs.tu-berli.de
filename incoming/recode-3.2.4-3.2.5beta.patch ). I also mailed
my changes to the author so maybe they will be included in the next
release.

If you are interested i can also post the patch. (It's about 11k)

Greetings Bastian
