I am trying to figure out how to use the Sybase SQL server v. 4.0 which
was shipped with NeXTStep 1.0.
I want to be able to use the /usr/sybase/isql executable to do
command line creation of DB's and insertions, deletions, updates and
queries.
The problem which I keep encountering is that I get:
next07epsl> isql
Password:
Operating-system error:
No such file or directory
DB-Library: Could not open interface file.
when I try to get started. Futher, I don't have a password. Do I need
one?
I am also attempting to usr Sybase across an afs system and unsucessfully
attempted to use a script SetVars in /usr/sybase/scripts to set
environment varianble across the afs system.
Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong ? Is this just the beginning of
even more troble?
