I'm looking for information about what music software is available for the
NeXt. I have a friend who is considering a Mac vs. a NeXt, and on the
basis of programming needs, the NeXt wins out on price/performance, but he is
also interested in direct-to-disk recording, which is available (at a price)
on the Mac from Digidesign, and music notation, for which there are several
good programs on the Mac. Are there comparable programs on the NeXt? I
know that the NeXt has built in DSP capabilities that should make it possible
for there to be a software-only product similar to Digidesign's AudioMedia and
Deck; are there?
