There is 'mkisofs' even under NS/OS - as well as Linux and many other operating systems -, so that on a running system you can make an iso-image. If the system understands the NS/OS BFFS - like on NS/OS itself -, you can just 'select' the files and 'combine' them to a '.iso'; this can also be done by mounting the CDs on a Linux system with the correct mount- incantation (-t ufs -o ufstype=nextstep-cd), as you pointed out. You'll end up with a single (large) file, that you can burn on any 'burning device' you can transport the file to (e.g. by 'Jaz', network or whatever) and the operating system of which is capable of burning a .iso (or raw-file). Is this what you meant? Or is '... make *.iso files from any devices?' something else to mean? Especially the 'any'? Greetings, Ruediger
