Under Linux you can easily create an ISO image from a NeXTSTEP CD-ROM
using
          dd if=/dev/scd0 of=NeXTSTEP.iso

and then burn it with cdrecord or whatever you please.  Works fine and
one doesn't have to remotely bother about the filesysten used on the
original CD-ROM.  Been there, done that.
