The first time I tried to post this, it never appered. Hopefully it won't end up on the net twice : Plot3D is an application for interactive display and rotation of 3d plots. Up to 5 simulatneous equations (or data files) can be plotted using a variety of symbols. This program is on the opposite end of the spectrum from mathematica or gnuplot. Plot3D is not designed to produce publication quality graphics, rather it provides "quick and dirty" plots that can be rotated in real time. This is ideal for quick comparisons of experimental data/theory, or to find the best viewing angle for use with other programs. Plot3D also has basic support for density plots. The current release is 1.0-alpha, so it's probably pretty buggy. Bug reports and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I uploaded copies to sonata.cc.purdue.edu (pub/next/submissions) and ion.rice.edu (/pub). -------------------- Steve Ludtke steve@ion.rice.edu ludtke@physics.rice.edu 77235,1537 - Compuserve
