It is however the views that Richard Stallman extolls in his GNUmanifesto that bother me so deeply. Issues of my wanting to control my "ideas" and their use, being an issue of controlling others lives, and the idea of a Software Tax. People will program for reasons other than money. I have done alot of programming that I don't expect or want to be paid for. But if I decide I want to charge X number of dollars for my work, NOBODY has the right to take it into their own hands to "balance the playing field" or penalize me for charging to much in ANY form other than to not purchase or use my software.
