Hope this helps. Brent There's a new Object (and suite of applications) on the near horizon. Trillium Sound Research, Inc is releasing the Text to Speech Object in early June. In addition to the underlying Object, they will ship a few sample applications that demonstrate the use of the object. One of the applications will be a simple Services based app - select some text from within any application and the Text to Speech app will play it. The details: Company: Trillium Sound Research, Inc Contact: David Hill - Chairman of the board, VP Research Phone: 403 284-9278 FAX: 403 282-6778 email: hill@cpsc.ucalgary.ca (NeXTmail okay) Product: Text to Speech Object Status: Beta Testing, FCS 1-June Price: $300 They are also working on some applications for the vision impaired. (Question: who at NeXT works with the disabled conferences? Please forward this along to them!) All of the above information is public and may be distributed widely.
