Problem solved. It turns out that I was playing around with the Executor that comes on the NeXT third party demo CD. This version has a bug which causes the mac.fs directory to be renamed mac.fs.SAVE, and hence mac floppies are no longer readable. I renamed the directory and everything was fine again. A quick call to ARDI confirmed this. There is a new version of Executor on the archives which does not have this bug. Note - I talked to Clifford Mathews at ARDI, and they did not have access to a 3.0 machine before the deadline for the demo CDROM, so it is not ARDI's fault - just "one of those things". I am very impressed by Executor! Hubert
